Evaluation and feedback
Pin testing is a method of evaluating the skaters' progress throughout the year. This is what we do for the Interlake Speed Skating Club. Testing is done twice a year; once in the first half of the season and then again in the second half. The athletes will be presented with the pins for the levels that they successfully completed at the Spring wind-up. They will also be given feedback on skills that need to be worked on. See the coach for information. Tracking personal bests is a good way of seeing where improvements are being made and will be done throughout the season.
